Enterprise Day: Build it. Test it. Pitch it.
In short
The Pioneers Enterprise Day takes a class of 9-11 year olds from 'what is an entrepreneur?' to a team pitch in one school day. Teams of 4-5 explore founder stories, spot a problem, vote on an idea, build a simple prototype, test it with another team and improve it, cost and price it, build a brand and pitch it at an afternoon showcase.
Included in the £49 educator licence. One zip file, about 8.1 MB.

Real pages from this kit. Have a flick through.
Slides children can read from the back row, a guide with every word you need and printables that look great in black and white.
Count the Costs slide: what does one cookie cost?
A worked cookie business. Children add up the costs counted so far for one cookie, and maths suddenly has a point. A garden crew shows how a service's costs work.
What children make and take home
- A prototype, tested with another team and improved
- Costs, a price and the money left from each sale, worked out themselves
- A business name, logo and slogan
- A 90-second pitch that everyone contributes to
Why it works in a real classroom
- Every mission fits on one page of the guide, with the words to say
- Money taught through a product and a service example, then their own idea
- A timing rescue page for when the morning runs over
- An award for every team, so the day ends on a high

Questions about this kit
Neither. Money is taught through talk and two worked examples, a cookie business and a gardening service, then each team's own idea: things bought once, the cost of each one, a fair price, the money left and four jars (spend, save, share, invest).
They practise teamwork, problem solving and communicating, build and improve a prototype, use real maths to cost and price an idea, and design a brand. Every child contributes to a pitch, by speaking, showing or pointing, and for some it's the first time they've argued for an idea of their own.
Yes. Mission 5 is Build and Test: teams build the simplest version of their idea, test it with another team and make one improvement. A labelled drawing counts, so no team is held back by materials.
The guide has a timing rescue page with a cut for every mission. Never cut the showcase: it is the part everyone remembers.
