1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of the We Can Be website and platform (wecanbe.co.uk), operated by We Can Be, a UK-based social enterprise. By using our platform, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our services.

2. Our services

We Can Be provides entrepreneurship education for girls aged 6–18 through books, interactive AI tools, structured online courses, educational resources, and a library of female founder role models. Some features are free; others require a paid subscription or one-off purchase.

3. Account registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information.
  • Keep your login credentials secure and confidential.
  • Accept responsibility for all activity under your account.
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

Parents and guardians are responsible for managing child profiles created under their account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data.
  • Upload harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content.
  • Interfere with the platform's functionality or security.
  • Use our AI tools to generate harmful, misleading, or inappropriate content.
  • Scrape, copy, or redistribute our content without permission.

5. Intellectual property

All content on the We Can Be platform - including text, images, illustrations, course materials, tool designs, and branding - is owned by We Can Be or our licensors and protected by UK and international copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

6. AI tools

Our AI-powered tools are designed for educational purposes and aimed at young people. Outputs generated by our AI tools are for inspiration and learning only - they should not be relied upon as professional advice. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated content. Parents and educators should supervise younger users when using AI tools.

7. Purchases and subscriptions

When you make a purchase or subscribe:

  • Prices are displayed in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable.
  • Digital products (courses, tools) are non-refundable once accessed, except where required by law.
  • Physical products (books, workbooks) may be returned within 14 days in unused condition.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically. You can cancel at any time from your account settings.

8. Limitation of liability

We Can Be is an educational platform. We do not provide professional business, financial, or legal advice. Our content is for learning and inspiration only. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

9. User-generated content

If you submit content through our platform (e.g. course activities, tool outputs), you retain ownership of your content but grant We Can Be a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it for improving our services. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms.

10. Third-party links

Our platform may contain links to third-party websites and resources. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of external sites. Links are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
